On Wednesday, May 22nd 2013. my 6th grade students (and a few of them from 8th grade who wanted to participate, too) had a chance to talk to Mrs.Edmunds's class from Taiwan. This was their first attempt at using Skype and our first chat with a class from Asia, so now we have covered almost all continents. The video wasn't so good because our wifi connection was constantly breaking so we decided to keep only audio on. Some of my 8th grade students sang a song for our new friends and we taught them to say HELLO in Serbian.
On Thursday May 16th, 2013. second graders had a chance to talk to their peers from London and Izmir. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the class from DeBeauvoir Primary school in London due to Skype video problems, but we could hear them perfectly. Here are some photos of our chat, and here is the link to the blog that our friends from London made. http://debeauvoirdl.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/year-2-talk-to-serbia-and-turkey.html |
