Today we watched the live broadcast from Bermuda by Digital Explorer and waited for our questions about coral reef and ocean conservation to be answered by Choy Aming - a shark specialist.
About the guest speaker:
Choy Aming
Oceanographer, BAMZ
Choy Aming is the Senior Aquarist at the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo. Choy has studied sharks around Bermuda for most of his career and runs a successful shark satellite tagging program. He has tagged over 40 tiger sharks and has produced some of the longest shark tracks ever, covering three years and 30,000 km for some individuals. His main interest was the movement of the sharks around Bermuda but while tracking them, he accidentally discovered a tiger shark migration around the Atlantic.
